Online Training – lynda.com

Online Training – lynda.com.

Lynda.com

If you are looking for online training classes for Final Cut Pro, or Photoshop, or Microsoft apps like PowerPoint or Excel, this is a FANTASTIC resource. They have over 40,000 videos available! For those of us who like to learn aurally, like I do, this is among the best. On the other hand, if text is your medium for learning this may not be so great. But the Lynda book series is awesome, too.

Embed multiple Google calendars

July 16, 2009 by eric

We’re all fine here: Embed multiple Google calendars.

Yeah! A lone blogger helped me embed multiple calendars into my Google Site. I have been using Google Sites for almost 6 moths. I love it and recommend it to all. But, like all computer applications, Google products suffer various problems  I like to call “annoyances”. It’s a term I learned to love because of the O’Rielly book series of the same name. Windows has tons of ‘em, Google may have a few less of them, but they all have their share of geeky, hellishly persistent, annoying problems, annoyances. Not being able to embed multiple calendars into one display on a Google Site the same way  you can with a regular web sites,  is one that has vexed me for months. Like many users out there, I consider it a necessary feature for Google Calendar and Google does not make it easy to do so in its Sites product. Thank you, Nathan Cooprider, for a work around while Google gets caught up. he has posted an illustrated, relatively easy, “how to”.

Nathan’s blog is called “We’re All Fine Here”, a reference to Han Solo in the belly of the Death Star talking to the guards over the intercom.
